Just about everyone on the planet is familar with Downward Dog, there's no doubt that it's one of the most popular of all yoga poses. Downward Dog is thought of as a resting posture, although many beginners may not find it to be very restful. Even as a resting pose, this posture is an active posture with many finer points. This intermediate class will hopefully help you refine your Downward Dog and get more from the pose. A yoga block will be helpful. Poses include Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward-Facing Dog), Uttana Shishosana (Puppy Pose), Ardha Hanumanasana (Half Splits), Ardha Pincha Mayurasana (Dolphin Pose) and more! As always practice safely. However, practicing on your forearms offers a chance to get stronger and can lead to much satisfaction as your practice gets better over time. This flow will incorporate a variety of forearm poses and forearm balances to test your limits! This class would be considered Intermediate to Advanced, likely not for the beginner. Arm balances are a ton of fun but they present a challenge of strength and balance. This class will focus on postures to help build the core strength needed to attain Forearm Stand. If you're not quite ready to try an arm balance, the class will still aid in building strength for your future arm balances. This mini-workshop would be considered an Intermediate to Advanced class, not suitable for most beginners.
